Michael Bernard Boscoe Sr.

August 21, 1944~May 06, 2021

Michael B. Boscoe, Sr, formerly of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021, in St. Petersburg, Florida, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76.  He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Josephine and Cliff Tully; and his father, Raphael Boscoe.  He is survived by his brother, John Patrick Boscoe; his sister, Pamela Tully; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Calvin Prater; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Damaris Boscoe, Jr; his grandchildren, Chandler Prater, Josephine Prater, Jade Boscoe, and Ava Boscoe; and his girlfriend, Maria Smith.

Michael had a great love for his family.  He returned to the St. Petersburg area to assist in caring for his parents after retiring from AC Nielsen, and he never left the area.  Michael loved his alma mater, Florida State University, and the Seminoles.  He enjoyed the water and watching the sunsets from his back porch.

At this time, there are no services planned, as his wishes were to be cremated.  Please check his Facebook page for updates.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Michael B. Boscoe, Sr. to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or Suncoast Hospice of Pinellas County at www.suncoasthospice.org.  He will be missed by all who loved him.

My thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences in Mike Boscoe’s passing earlier this month. He was a memorable leader and family man at my first real job at Nielsen in the 80’s – 90’s. It was a great experience and years later was so fun to see Mike’s love of family, sunsets, and humor on social media in his retirement. A life well lived and will always remember Mike’s smiling face. RIP, Go ‘Noles and God bless his family and friends.
